The first seminar in 2013.
A group of 10 teachers from Estonia, Finland, France, Belgium, Croatia, Latvia and Greece finished the first seminar at Cursus Iceland the third week in March 2013.
It was a week with clear sky and fresh northern wind that surrounded the group from day one. The participants engaged in the program in high spirit and finished as a solid team, ready to perform.
The cold northern wind created a challenge for the outdoor sessions, but with a resiliance the withstood the obstacles. The weather can be a defining factor for outdoor learning, and an hurdle for some. It was a valuable lesson for many to experience an outdoor lesson in the cold arctic winter.
During the seminar we met with a group of lecturers and workshopleaders, that showed us examples of outdoor parctices. The seminar includes variety of tasks from theoretical, experiences and hands-on learning. All aiming to create and holistic learning cycle and inspiration for the participants.
The social and cultural exchange is valuable for us as for the participants. The group performed with pure excellency and finished the seminar as a team with new friendships and network for the years to come.
